It is time to begin again! The New Moon has arrived today, June 4th, in the astrological sign of Gemini.
In so many ways, it is time to take flight and allow a delightful curiosity & lightness of being to unfold with in us. How sweet!
With this New Moon Cycle, we welcome a new theme to inspire us today and in the whole Moon Cycle ahead: Learning from Fairies. Breathing with the Plants: A Practice
On or near the New Moon on June 4th, go out into Nature for at least 10 minutes. Allow yourself to be amongst the trees and the stones and the flowers. Breathe well.
Find a plant that calls your attention and sit or stand in front of it. Inhale in remembrance that the oxygen you drink in is released from the leaves and exhale in remembrance that the carbon dioxide you release is received by the plant.
Through our breath, which is essential to life & constant, we are deeply connected the natural world. When we breathe, we are subtly communicating with the natural world. Open to that communication.
An Image to Contemplate
Just as the mythic Fairies have wings & use their powers to act as helpers in the Natural World, you too, with your presence and gifts, have to power to bring light and help wherever you go.
Close your eyes and bring to mind your little world – your immediate surroundings, your community, your day to day life. How do you communicate within your little world? What do you bring to your environment & the beings around you?
In this time of reflection, really see yourself as a fairy in your world- light, winged & curious. The Fairies take flight, bringing wonderment wherever they go.
Acknowledge your ability to communicate with the world around with speed, playfulness & a touch of mischief.
At this moment in late Spring (the lightest time of year), see yourself clearly as a Fairy, bringing magic to the world around you.
