Tammy Shellhaas – Troy, OH
Tammy began her fitness career as an ACE Certified Personal Trainer in 2010. As a trainer, the majority of her clients dealt with one or more injuries, causing physical limitations in the gym as well as daily life. From her personal yoga experience, she quickly realized that yoga would be a nice compliment to their fitness routine. Less than a year later, she became a yoga instructor and continues to work with individuals to overcome physical limitations, gain strength and flexibility, with a focus on body alignment. Tammy went on to become a Reiki Master/Teacher offering energy healing to individuals in private sessions, to her yoga classes and is teaching others through her Reiki trainings. In 2016, Tammy completed her certification as an Ayurveda Lifestyle Coach and is now helping clients to bring physical, mental and emotional balance back into their lives. Tammy weaves pose modifications, breathing practices, ayurveda, mudras, essential oils, meditation and Reiki, as called for, into her private sessions and classes. Tammy and her daughter, Betsy Shellhaas, LMT (a yoga Teacher in-training) are co-owners of Tapestry Healing Arts Center in Troy, Ohio. Tammy is married to her husband, John and they live in Troy, Ohio with their dog, Molly. They have two grown children and two grandchildren. Tammy loves to spend time with her family, take walks with John and Molly, travel, and continue learn. She is thankful for the opportunity to work with her daughter in a business that is so fulfilling and has lead her to so many interesting and wonderful friends, clients and mentors. Tammy is excited to incorporate The Wild Woman Circles into the mix of healing practices offered at Tapestry Healing Arts Center.
