This weekend I had the great honor to participate in a happening in the park organized by WILD Woman Circle Leader, Television Producer, Yogini, mischief maker, Melissa Tamura Maugeri called Gratitude in the Park.
Strangers passed by and wrote notes of love and gratitude to themselves. Many plopped right down and did it with joy. Others were skeptical, “Isn’t it egotistical to toot your own horn like that?” I had that exact reaction (at first). Then I did it. In fact myself and a few other brave souls got up and read our declarations of gratitude out loud. It was a challenge for sure !!!
This is what Melissa said to get us out of self-judgement:
“Imagine if you were in a relationship with someone and all they ever did was criticize you and make demands. They held high expectations and never ever said ‘thank you’ or ‘I love you’ or give any compliments. How would you feel? This is often the relationship we have with ourselves.”
When I surrendered, I was overwhelmed with love. And energized too! So I am paying it forward here!
WILD WOMAN Check-in #3: Create a loving reminder for yourself.
Please write it down and put it somewhere you can see it everyday.
And if you are game, share(outloud) in the Comments section below!

WordPress is up and running on my host — but it completely mismatches my site’s existing theme/CSS. How hard would it be to modify/write a new theme to make it fit in? Is there an easier way to do this?.
