NOTE FROM CHRIS
Dearest,
Before we dive in, here’s a little Centering Inquiry for you today.
Take a breath and ask in:
What is the #1 thing I am working on/with right now?
How is it going?
How can I best support myself today and in the week ahead?
(Listen for your answers…maybe even jot them down somewhere.)
~~
Sometimes, when I am navigating internet land, I find I lose touch with my core, my wisdom. When we meet here like this, I want you to feel connected to your truth and guidance while scooping up as much or little of my offering as you like. Sound good?
Well, I share pretty vulnerably in my post below-I hope it is helpful:)
Next Week the New Moon will arrive( which means circle time and beginnings). Yay!
Sending you much love & respect,
C
P.S~ Many of you have been asking about the next round of Wild Woman Circle Leader Training-Early Bird Registration for Winter Session (which starts January 19th) opens in November. You can get a sneak peak here.

SOUL FOODUncompromising Self-Care
(My New Jam)
I used to be really mean to myself.
I hated my body. I said bad things to it and about it, all the time. At different points, starving it, pumping toxic levels of food into it. I used to draw pictures of my body and circle the areas I hated & needed to change. My body was a car I was embarrassed to drive around in.
It has taken me about 20 years to understand and honor my body as the perfect vehicle for my soul in this life. 20 YEARS, people!!! Through opening up to spirituality, cultivating a yoga practice, studying of the mind-body-spirit connection, gathering with other women, I have really and truly learned to love myself (body included).
However, up until a few months ago, I was missing an essential piece of the whole self-love thing.
In August I awakened to the fact that I was still subconsciously ignoring the needs and desires of the body. I mean, I knew I was doing that before then-it’s just that in August I realized it was a major(not minor) problem.
Here’s what that looked like for me: I would be so inspired doing this wild woman work all day, I would forget to eat until early evening, I would skip yoga & hiking, and essential physically crash. Often. I would stay up way too late, I would avoid taking care of my neck and shoulder pain. Lucky for me, I have life force to spare and managed to sustain that truly unsustainable lifestyle for a long while.
Enter Circle Magic.
In the August round of circles (New Moon in Virgo), we did an exploration of the Body as the soul’s house. In my local circle here in the Berkshires, I got the guidance to purify and care for my body. So I created an intention in that circle to start treating my body with deep love and respect.
And as you Circle Leaders & Circle Regulars know-This stuff is no joke.
Things began to shift immediately.
A friend of mine was advertising a cleanse on Facebook-I signed up. When speaking to her about my nutrition, I realized that by not feeding myself well and get essential nutrients I was being…well, RUDE!
And I’m from the south. I do not take well to bad manners. I always think, at the very least, we can be kind. And I was NOT being kind to my body. I was ignoring its requests completely. Rude.
Up to that point, I had been viewing exercise as important-yes-but, not as important as getting all my work done (what you should know is my moon is in Capricorn-the work is never done and I like it that way, if you can believe it). Until that fateful circle, I definitely knew nutrition was important, but somehow, it was never as important as work, spirituality, study, relationships. It was pretty much last in line just before domestic duty (which, as my honey will tell you, is not this wild woman’s strong suit).
Over the past 2 months I have made it my sacred business to, week by week, be more mind to my body.
What I began to understand in this time was while I really did love myself, I was not taking enough action on the feeling. Think about what happens in relationship when a person is all, “I love you so much” and takes ZERO action to support the words. Or consider when we make a personal intention and then never take action on the guidance that comes through to help us realize it. The love/idea is there but because it not truly spreading out into the physical world, it begins to whither away.
So on this day in October, I am happy to report: I am eating well, exercising often & I even got a 4 Pack of massages. This is my edge of growth: Really, truly, caring for my body. I call this practice Uncompromising Self-Care.
The Uncompromising part is really important. It’s so easy to say, This is more important or that. My truth is: putting my body’s needs and wisdom first has been truly life changing.
The benefits thus far include: a sense of peace & even bliss at times, steady energy levels, increased financial abundance, ease in work, boosted libido & creative clarity. Not bad, huh?
I don’t always share like this with you. This is the kind of share I usually do in circle. But something told me it may help others to be open about this here.
We’ve talked about self-love & self care a lot in our time together. I wonder if there is room for all of us to go deeper with this.
What do you think?
Do you love yourself? Do you show it?
Perhaps ask your guidance if there is anything you can do to really embody self love. Ask your body what it needs.
Then–this is important–take action
((Let me know how it goes on Instagram (my fav), Facebook & Twitter. #uncompromisingselfcare and I will help cheer you on! ))
