About the Wild Woman Initiation Series
The Wild Woman Project came to me in a flash, a vision & it wouldn’t let me go. So listened. The Wild Woman archetype has been initiating me ever since. Through various experiences, which have mostly been about untangling what is true & what is not true in my own being, I have come ever closer to the wild woman within. I am a student, servant, guardian to this project who’s mission is to to awaken women to their most authentic, undomesticated nature, so they may feel like themselves, all the time, no apologies. I am sharing the 13 most important lessons I’ve learned about the path of the Wild Woman over the next few months. May it be useful.

There was a time, not so long ago, when I’d drive through the mountains & hills and enjoy in the beauty of the background.
When I looked at the trees, the sky & the magnificence of some tall mountain, what I saw was scenery.
My perception did not fully account for the livingness of nature.
My perception was self & human oriented.
My perception could not really see the natural world.
I had a relationship to nature that lacked intimacy. I looked the flowers and the trees but I did not see them.
At the same time, I was becoming frustrated for 2 reasons:
#1 I yearned for a teacher I couldn’t find. Someone who could had the precise information I was longing for. Though there were many wonderful teachers around me, no one was coming to fill that role.
#2 After a decade in NYC, my whole being was aching to get out there. I couldn’t hear myself think. I was so tired of the hustle. I longed for simplicity.
I made a big move from NYC to the Berkshires and the tectonic plates of my inner being began to shift.
I began to attend the school of nature.
The Professors, Teacher & friends included: the moon, the stars, the stones & rocks, the rivers & trees, the lizards and chipmunks, the leaves & flowers, the weeds, oh the weeds!, the deer, the bears, the mud, the snow, the light summer nights, the dark winter evenings, the new green of spring, the falling leaves of autumn & so many more.
Classes & programs included: The Art of Patience, The Ecstasy of Sunlight, Moonlight Whispering, Eating from your own front yard, The sacred glory of Moss, The Creative Cycle & the Moon, The Life Cycle & the Seasons, Elemental Wisdom, The Nervous System & the earth, The Garden of Creativity and many more.
Nature is school of which I will be a student for life.
Now when I drive through the mountains & walk down the street I am united with the natural world.
This is a shift:
From feeling like the star of the movie of my life with a really pretty set.
To feeling like part of an epic story being told where I am honored to have a tiny, yet mighty role in this chapter.
Sometimes, I forget this. In those moments, I bring myself back to this lesson…
Lesson 1 on the path of the Wild Woman:
nature is playground, friend & teacher.
