Our first Full Moon of the year has arrived, marking the half way point in the current moon cycle.
As the moon casts her peak light, illuminating the night’s sky, it feels as if she is calling for pause.
It feels as though she is saying – stop! look up!
And if we are wise,
look up, we do.
Eyes wide, mouth open,
We drink in the mystery,
the miracle of this bold expression.
Each and every time we look to the moon, it is an invitation to allow a moon’s eye view. Somehow the moon stays close to the earth – constant in her orbit, all while enjoying a big picture – cosmic perspective.
This close to the earth, big picture view point, is such a helpful symbol in understanding our theme of the cycle: Mastery. To attempt mastery is to show up every day, doing your best, while playing the long game, seeing the big picture. ah!
The moon just never gets old, does it?
Today is a great one to shine a little light on the intention you created at New Moon time. That is, actively remember and realign with it.
There are so many ways to do this – journal, sit with eyes closed, make art, dance, go for a walk – all as means of Remembering. We have some music for you, should you want a soundtrack!
The Circle Leaders of The Wild Woman Project have come together to make a playlist for you.
These are songs of about the stuff of Mastery – going for it, overcoming resistance and obstacles, following your dreams and heart, persevering, daring, showing up.
We are a international group of self-identifying wild women, so calling our playlist eclectic is, naturally, an understatement. You will find many forms of expression, from hip-hop to country to soul music, and on. I recommend listening to it in a Divinatory way, by clicking shuffle, and seeing where it takes you!
