"The Circle Leader Training Program at The Wild Woman Project was one of the most transformative and healing experiences of my life. I have received many tools, resources, support, and connections that I will carry on with me forever." ~ Hannah Devin, Graduate
We have Wild Woman Project-trained Circle facilitators is 26 countries, and 44 out of the 50 United States.
Chris Maddox is the founder of The Wild Woman Project where she teaches women how to utilize the gifts of the Wild Woman Archetype in their everyday lives & how to lead women’s circles in their local communities. She is the organizer & facilitator of the beloved annual WILD WOMAN FEST, a women’s retreat-festival hybrid which fosters a deep connection to nature, a direct experience of the divine feminine & profound spiritual sisterhood among the women in attendance.
An ever student of the great mysteries of existence and nature itself, Chris believes women are holding innate gifts & tools that society at large needs – now more than ever. She is committed to helping women remember their special magic and to bring it forward into every corner of their lives, for the greater good of the planet.
Thank you to all the women who posted their prose.
I am leaving Washington state where I attended Crones Counsel a gathering of Elder women. We drummed, danced and honored women speaking no their wisdom.
That sounds incredible. Thank you for sharing. I’m sure you will carry the vibrations of those drums for a long time to come.
She decided
She decided
She decided
That time is an illusion
That the future is a vision of hope
That connecting to her breath is important
More important than fear
She decided to be here
In this moment
This moment
This moment

Beautiful Marina, thank you so much for sharing. Breathing with you.
She decided as firmly as summer declared fall.
She decided to reclaim her wholeness in life, to receive the loving oxygen from the trees around her.
She decided she is worthy to take up the space she stands in, unapologetically with reverence.
She decided she is worthy to dance with creation and bring her spark to life to share the love deeply flowing.
She decided to honor her bleeding as a commitment to the Earth in holy matrimony, to be the real testimony of life’s heart beating.
She decided.
She decided.
She decided.
Samantha, beautiful. Thank you so much for your deep words. Power to you.
L o v e l y.
She decided to be a part of the world,
To accept that her feet belonged on its surface,
To trust the earth,
And know that the sun and the moon hold each moment of that trusting,
She decided to truly be alive, and breathe life.
Fiona, thank you so much for sharing these beautiful words with us. <3
She decided there were already enough people who thought they didn’t matter
And that there was no hope, no worth in saving, no reason in believing.
She decided to make a mountain out of a molehill so that she could climb it without the thought that there was something else to create
She decided what she wanted was actually the point
She decided that her family loved her because of her wild and weirdo ways, and that she couldn’t stop doing that because she feared rejection
She decided there are no wrong turns, only best case scenarios that unfold as they do.
She decided to trust the great wide open and offer up her passion to be of service
She decided that god and goddess were one in the same and that if there are any arguments about that fact, that it had nothing to do with how she experienced the world.
She decided to breathe more…and deeply and to create space for the magic of divine in every aspect of her life because she realized that she was making space for herself there…because SHE IS the MAGIC & DIVINITY.
She decided that becoming herself was nothing more than allowing her voice to get clearer and softer and more alive each morning as she remembered her dreams were not nothing.
She decided to create the world she wanted to live in because that is what made the days worth living and the candle wax sweeter and the ritual work better.
She decided to write it down.
She decided it was worth looking at.
She decided that everything she felt made sense.
She decided to forgo the limiting opinions of others.
She decided to forgo the limiting opinions of herself.
She decided to shed all that was rigid.
She decided to be free.
She decided to stop cleaning the effing house.
She decided to look for fun.
She decided she could let her hair down whenever she wanted to.
She decided to stop “rising above” insufficient love.
She decided that she deserved what she desired.
She decided to place her hand on her heart.
She decided that this was the most important thing she would ever do.
There once was a woman who decided to Be Real; to become her Authentic Self.
She decided to return to the Ground of her Own Being. To breathe like the old ones in the stories, who know the Deep Peace of Belonging.
She decided to center herself in Love and Light by moving into and through her darkness, knowing it, owning it, dancing in its power, accepting it as part of her soul; understanding that her strength would be diminished without it. For what is light without the dark?
She decided to honor herself, to cherish what nourishes, to love what brings light and joy, to live intentionally, as centered in the present moment as she is able.
She decided to let go, of old hurts, old hates, old burdens that serve only to limit her and weigh her down. To sift through the memories for the treasures left by love, and with a breath of kindness, to blow the rest away.
She decided to see that her own beauty and worth includes the scars and marks of a life well lived, not in spite of them, but because of them. Her scars are evidence of her struggles. They are the living testimony of her strength to persevere. Wasn’t she told she was only a woman? Wasn’t she taught her place? Wasn’t she warned that she lived in a man’s world? Nevertheless, she Persisted.
She decided to raise up women to be strong. Not just her daughters, who carried her Spirit in their Souls, born into them as she gave them life and heard their first cry; but those whom she claimed as daughter, sister, mother, friend, through the heart bonds forged in Light and Love. And she saw that the only way to raise up strong women was to Be One.
She decided to live, and love, unapologetically, as her Mother God intended. To move freely in this world, unfettered by the rules of man, for she knew the Rules as her Mother God had taught them. To honor all beings, embrace the light, bring hope to the despairing, keep Faith in all that is good, revere what is deep and holy for it springs from the Ground of Being. To cherish love in all its forms, for Love is the center of all life; it is the Spirit which drives all good things, it is what we seek and what we are called to share. No matter what name the God is called, no matter the language or words used to describe it, she understood that we all seek the same Divine, and we find it in each other. We are all created equal, capable of containing the Divine Spark, of channeling the Divine Spirit; therefore we must respect all people as Divine Beings.
She decided to move forward, open to the Now, listening for the Call, working for the Greater Good in whatever way she can, centering herself and those around her in the Clay of Belonging, which she calls Love.
Thank you all for your inspiration which strengthens my own aspirations, for your love, which beats in my heart, helping me to want to awake and to love again, and for your strength which reminds me to stand tall, look forward, breathe and trust what is me.
