Chris Maddox is the founder of The Wild Woman Project where she teaches women how to utilize the gifts of the Wild Woman Archetype in their everyday lives & how to lead women’s circles in their local communities. She is the organizer & facilitator of the beloved annual WILD WOMAN FEST, a women’s retreat-festival hybrid which fosters a deep connection to nature, a direct experience of the divine feminine & profound spiritual sisterhood among the women in attendance.
An ever student of the great mysteries of existence and nature itself, Chris believes women are holding innate gifts & tools that society at large needs – now more than ever. She is committed to helping women remember their special magic and to bring it forward into every corner of their lives, for the greater good of the planet.
While I do understand the importance of addressing some of the topics in this video, I also feel like there isn’t a corner of my life that isn’t addressing it somehow. I’ve followed the Wild Woman Project for a little over a year and what I loved about it was that it was a reminder to me to embrace the parts of myself that were change I wanted to see in myself and in the world. Not to combat anything around, because Law of Attraction proves time and time again that putting energy “against” something simply strengthens whatever it is; but to remind myself of the positive energies and light I knew I could feel in myself. But these past few videos have begun to feel as tied up in negative events and energies as any other corner in the media of my life. It makes me sad to see something that used to be a bit of a home to those positive energies in me slowly shift into something else.
Again, are the topics addressed prominent in our culture? Absolutely. It’s something many of us think about all the time. I just liked to have a corner of my life where I felt safe away from that (where I didn’t have to constantly think about that) to develop my own positive energy, and now it feels like this corner of my life is no longer that. I know some people resonate with it deeply, I just don’t and I feel myself slipping away from this year-long topic slowly but surely. Hopefully the next year feels fresh again.
Hi Moriah,
I hear you. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Our “Tiny Revolutions: Unfurling the Soul of the World” theme is definitely a conscious turning toward the world and our relationship to it.
Part of the Wild feminine is the embrace of all that life brings – I think of the most miraculous thing in life: birth. The blood, tears, stretching, tearing & then new life, innocence, growth, celebration, and so on.
So we can make no promises about always being positive. But I can promise hopefulness, care for the great family of things, and help with the cultivation of wisdom and courage to meet the world as it is, with all of its beauty & all of its challenges.
We offer this freely. Pease take what is useful to you for as long as it is useful to you. ❤️
In Love,
Chris
