Favorite tree-the Aspen. I’ve always loved the way the leaves shimmer, or “quake” in the breeze. And then I learned that each stand of these trees is fully connected underground!
Best piece of advice: “So, be happy! Happiness is a choice!”💡Advice courtesy of Christine Strohman, 2013!💜
Yes! Thanks for sharing, Christine!
The Willow tree! Reminds me of childhood and my beloved Grandfather.
I will begin with this coming circle a “root” network for my attendees. Instead of just a sign in a share of all social media sites, email whatever feels comfortable for each woman. At the end of the circle, we can all snap a photo of what was written and then follow and support each other. A simple thing but impactful.
A Merry Everything and a Happy Always to all!

Beautiful, Lorriann!
My favorite tree is of all is a giant sycamore that grows along Route 47 in Sunderland, MA. It’s great spreading branches inspire me to always reach for my highest potential. It’s age to me is unknown but I can only imagine how much this tree has seen. This tree is awesome!
Favorite piece of advice: “Your life is what you make it.”
Love that, Pati. Thanks for sharing!
My favorite tree is also ASPEN! I am obsessed. I lived in the mountains of Colorado for one summer and absolutely fell in love. Their eyes are mesmerizing and each aspen forrest is ONE tree. They are completely connected underground, from which the trunk shoots up from. How FREAKING MAGICAL! I also love how their trunks can be so whimsically twisty. On a side note, I draw so much inspiration from these trees in my visual art practice, they have become my muse.
Best piece of advice was brought into my awareness from Wild Woman circle leader, Sara Goff. In a yoga class, she began by sharing Rumi’s words, “Let yourself be silently drawn by the strange pull of what you really love. It will not lead you astray”. <3
Wow, love this! Thank you for sharing, Ayla!
Favorite tree is oak because when we moved into our home 19 years ago there was a baby a little oak tree in our front yard and she is So majestic and we have a ton of offspring’s from her now. The wisest thing I’ve ever heard from her was I’m free to release. For years I have written things burned them and released the ashes to her toot system so she could take it and make something beautiful. It’s amazing the connection I feel to her.
So beautiful, Jammie.
My favorite tree is a Silver Maple in the middle of my backyard. It is huge and I view it as a gentle giant protector of the yard. It has a tiny fern growing right at its base (the only fern in the yard), several bird/squirrel nests in its branches, and an animal burrow between its roots that goes down underneath. I like to think of it guarding over us all, providing shelter to the animals, nutrients to the nearby spruce and oak trees, and magic to my backyard fire pit when it drops dead twigs and branches.
The best advice I can give is “We can’t control what happens to us, but we can control how we respond”.
Beautiful, Hannah!
My favorite tree is the willow. It gives me a sense of wisdom, stability and protection. Like a loving Grandfather to those who were blessed with one. The best advice I’ve recieved is that all you must hold on to is you. Everything else is for the giving and releasing.
Beautiful!
My favourite tree is the Maple. I have two beautiful maples in my backyard and love them dearly. We sit under them for circle when the weather gets warmer. The maple is the tree of friendship.
My favorite tree is the sugar maple. It’s a huge part of the culture where I live in New England, and they turn such beautiful colors in the fall – they get to fly their freak flag one last time before they go bare for the winter! Which also reminds me of the best piece of advice that I’ve received in my life – not once, but many times, from many people, in many different ways: “Just be yourself.” It’s hard to remember sometimes, but it is a great truth of our lives. I think the blazing autumn maple helps me keep it mind.
