Dear Ones,

I write to you from planet Earth where M A S S I V E alchemy is afoot. I know you feel it.

Not to mention a Full Moon, Lunar Eclipse; as above, so below.

I write to you from the land currently called the United States of America, which, right now, is experiencing a long overdue, incredibly important, Ancestral Reckoning. It is a reckoning which is as spiritual as it is material.

We are seeing protests of solidarity all over the world and are so grateful.

Black members of our community, we love you, we see you, we are listening, we are in full solidarity, and are bearing witness to the majesty of your spirit shining through this uprising. For other women of color in our community, our hands are also at your backs as you navigate the intensity of these times where we are collectively reckoning issues of inequality, violence & racism which intersect with your experience. And white women, we see you listening, learning, asking big questions, having uncomfortable conversations with yourself and others.

For years we have been aiming to deconstruct the Patriarchy, on every level, inside and out. Patriarchy walks hand in hand with White Supremacy; We cannot deconstruct one without dismantling the other. It is time.

For years we have been Circling up as a spiritual practice, focused on rewilding, calling on the Great Mother Nature, and resurrecting the We. Circling is a practice of awakening, together. What is happening now is part of the awakening, part of the rewilding. It is time.

I encourage you to continue your practices: Meditation, Breath work, Visualization, Movement, Ritual, Journaling, Circling up, Energy work, Art Making, Communicating with nature, HOOOWLING. In these intense times, we need all the help we can get. Your practices will give you the strength & inner guidance to process what is happening and to help you to contribute in whatever way you can. If you have the space, please send prayers of protection & love to those who are risking much by standing up for justice.

Black lives matter, Black lives matter, Black lives matter. Sing it, chant it, whisper it, weep it, paint it, howl it, for Black Lives not only Matter, but are to be cherished and held as sacred.

Here at The Wild Woman Project, we stand for love, and as the great Dr. Cornel West says, “Justice is what love looks like in public.”

May there be justice, may we all participate & may Love prevail.

Chris Maddox is the founder of The Wild Woman Project where she teaches women how to utilize the gifts of the Wild Woman Archetype in their everyday lives & how to lead women’s circles in their local communities. She is the organizer & facilitator of the beloved annual WILD WOMAN FEST, a women’s retreat-festival hybrid which fosters a deep connection to nature, a direct experience of the divine feminine & profound spiritual sisterhood among the women in attendance.
