There was a moment, way back, when you were a wild child.
You were free, unapologetic. You didn’t worry about being authentic. You were yourself, period.
I remember being on my bike, at around 8 years old. Wind in my hair, I knew every back street and stop sign in my neighborhood in suburban Houston, TX. No matter what was happening at home or at school, when I got on that pink sparkly 5 Speed, I was free.
This week, as if by magic, this little wild child has re-emerged!
Let me explain:
I know many of you circled up last weekend where we gathered around the idea of “Creating from Devotion.” We consciously connected to that which was sacred for us and asked, “What would you have me create?”
I know for myself and many of the women I have heard from, the message I received this month was not about creating a lofty project but rather a call for some deep internal shift.
There is a time for making in the world and there is a time for soothing the inner worlds. Sometimes these happen simultaneously, sometimes we need to focus more on one.
Here is the intention I made at my home circle in Great Barrington, Mass:
“This month I will use my gifts of heart-love, cuddliness & patience, to create loving restoration in devotion to the one.”
When I walked out of circle that night, I felt like I had been bathed in love: light, open, sweet.
And magically, I awoke the next morning with a sense of play. My inner WILD CHILD took a big step forward. I could not deny her.
She took me to buy these:
And these:
I giggled as I watched movies and curled my hair for no reason. I’ve let her take the wheel this week and it has been so fun! Plus my little inner wild child is completely making my intention from Circle a reality~I feel so so loved and divinely restored!
It has been a thrill to see how woven right into the memories and the movies dear to my little wild child, are hints of what was to come:
- Obsession with the color pink-still fully intact.
- Hunger for Independence and Deep Companionship has always been there all along.
- Both of the movies pictured above, feature women’s circles under the moon! (what?!)
- Wonder, Curiosity, little Rituals, big booming heart, courage. (This is what my little wild child was made of.)
Your Turn:
Do you remember your little wild child?
What did she love to do?
What was her favorite color? Movie? Song?
This weekend, if you feel called let her out: PLAY.
Let her reteach you who you really are.
From the boundless heart of my wild child to yours,
Chris (ty)
P.s~I’ve got a mega-announcement for you coming next week. HINT: Your wild child will be PLEASED!
