In my quest for pleasure as a spiritual practice, something completely unexpected has emerged, something I didn’t see coming: my well of love for my sisters has deepened, profoundly deepened. I had no idea how much I could love women who are not my blood.
I didn’t realize that opening to pleasure would also open my heart to our sacred web of wombyness. Perhaps I should have seen this coming but hey, I’m not really into should, and I really like surprises.
So today I offer, from the depths of my heart, a love letter to my sisters.
Dear Sister on the Wildish Path,
You are a walking revolution.
I see you leaping through the discomfort of being a wild one in a world that has largely forgotten the your kind of knowing.
I see you dancing sweaty, with the not-so-secret thrill of the rebel hearted. Keep dancing beauty, I think it is working!
