Julie Schmit – Minneapolis, MN

For over thirty years I have been deeply interested in the ways body, mind, and spirit interact to promote healing, well-being, and spiritual development. These pursuits have guided my personal and professional life. In the late 1980s, I began studying yoga, which led to work as a yoga instructor, a massage therapist and later, as an anatomy instructor for yoga teachers. I began studying intuitive development in 1993 through the work of the Berkeley Psychic Institute. In 1995, I enrolled in the respected Barbara Brennan School of Healing’s four-year energy healer program. After graduating, I developed an intuitive energy healing practice that continues today. In 2000, I developed a course at the University of Minnesota’s Theater department that synthesized intuitive development with movement for their acting students. Later, I pioneered teaching yoga to athletes through my work with the University’s Gopher Football team and was featured in the Mpls. Star Tribune. In the most recent phase of my professional journey, I have expanded my knowledge and therapeutic skills by way of becoming a licensed Marriage and Family therapist. The icing on the cake (and I LOVE cake!) is that I’m a Wild Woman Project Circle Leader. Join me as we gather in community and through ritual, visualization and mutual support, welcome in the New Moon with powerful intention setting. Hoowwwllll!!
