Kelli Morales – Litchfield County, CT

I started doing yoga and shortly after about 4 to 5 months into practicing, I was encouraged to take yoga teacher training. Not even imagining EVER becoming a yoga instructor, I realized I LOVED what yoga had been doing for me mentally, physically, and emotionally. It lead me to a new path of life, including meeting MANY wonderful people within the yoga community.

A young woman I met (actually outside of the yoga world) one day told me about The Wild Woman Fest! Completely intrigued by the fact that women gather five days to go deep, heal, laugh, love, and cry, my mom and I decided to give the experience a try.

So the fact that you are provided a safe place away from “ordinary society”, with REAL and RAW women, that may potentially be experiencing, or HAVE experienced parts of life as I have, the experience became something sacred to me. Women say what they will, yet there is NO judgment and just women providing an open heart to listen. It’s ok to experience what we go through in life in RAW and WILD FORM!

I love that when women meet in this type of form, that there is a certain FREEDOM from pain, and a FREEDOM of passion that exist at the same time. When we are all in this together, I realized I gain a higher appreciation towards women and the power we are ALL capable of. I love the sense of community, the comfort, the healing, the POWER, and the knowing of how, in fact we are all connected. The growth…the unity. And just the simple fact of doing some good for our precious earth and those who reside there.
