Dear One,
The New Moon arrives tomorrow, May 6th, in the astrological sign of Taurus. This Edition of Wild Woman Weeklyish was crafted to be a toolbox & source of inspiration for you at this fertile time of the Moon Cycle.
As you may know, New Moon time is a BIG deal here at The Wild Woman Project because…
we look to the Moon as a teacher,
because New Moon is the beginning,
and beginnings hold within them massive potential.
Because we aim to approach our lives as a massive (often messy) wildish creative project!
Each Month we have a New Theme to inspire us in creating powerful intentions for our lives. This theme can be explored in our International Network of Wild Woman Moon Circles (Find One Near You), in Your New Moon Companion: A Solo Virtual Retreat (Download it here) & finally right here in the New Moon Report.
BEING THE EMPRESS is our theme for the New Moon in Taurus.
In the talk below, we will explore:
-
The particular energetics, elemental qualities & contemplations we can tune into this New Moon.
-
The Empress Archetype: its relationship to the Taurus & what we can learn from her about rulership, sovereignty & endurance.

Wearing Your Crown: A Practice
On or near the New Moon on May 6th, take 1 hour to sincerely imagine you are wearing a crown. You needn’t change your plans. Do what you would normally do (ex. wash the dishes, go for a walk, do your work, etc.) but imagine you are wearing the crown of the Empress.
In all you do in the hour, you must be tall and bear the weight of this beautiful, heavy, extravagant symbol of sovereignty. For this hour, you are the Empress.
Breathe well. Take your time. And notice any shifts in your posture, behavior, emotions & thought process.
An Image to Contemplate
Just as the Empress can look out of her castle windows and see her empire, you may take some time this New Moon to contemplate your empire.
You may see in your mind’s eye, the beings that are dependent on you. You may see the physical land and/or structures that are part of your domain. You may envision all of the many responsibilies that you carry.
In this time of reflection, be sure to see yourself as the Ruler of the empire.
Acknowledge your ability to choose how you want to rule.
The Empress sits in a position of profound worldly & divine Power. See yourself clearly as the Empress of your life.
Journaling Questions
What are the qualities you most admire in a ruler, leader & Empress?
Are those qualities that you embody?
In what area(s) of your life can you bring in these qualities?

For now, I’ll leave you with this quote to sit with this New Moon:
“I know of no single formula for success. But over the years I have observed that some attributes of leadership are universal and are often about finding ways of encouraging people to combine their efforts, their talents, their insights, their enthusiasm and their inspiration to work together.”
~Queen Elizabeth II (Taurus Sun)
