This Moon Cycle, which began on June 4th & ends on July 3rd, our theme here at The Wild Woman Project is “Learning from Fairies”.
Fairies have long inspired our imaginations in myth by bringing magic, wonder, healing & light to those around them. This Cycle, we have the delight of exploring how we can learn from and embody the Archetypal Fairies.
The truth is: the world needs your light more now that it ever has.
May the suggestions in following list inspire a lightness of being & kinship with the Fairies this Cycle.
5 Ways to Be the Light
1 – Breathe well. Just as fairies have 2 wings, we mortals have 2 lungs. It is amazing to feel the lift and lightness within as we truly breathe. This simple practice of breathing well will help you feel a sense of spaciousness in the places you feel dense.
2 – Stretch. When our muscles get tight, we can feel a sense of heaviness and density in our bodies. As we stretch, the body releases synovial fluid, which lubricates our joints and makes movement easier. The effect is a feeling of release, lightness & space. Whether you stretch in a group class (like Yoga, Dance & Fitness classes) or on your own, do it and see if you feel a little more nimble afterward!
3 – Visualize Light. Close your eyes & visualize every cell of your body absorbing the light of the sun & the soft glow of the moon. Breathe and sit for at least 5 minutes until your whole being feels filled with light.
4 – Ask your inner guidance, perhaps through journaling or simply turning your question inward: what can I do or understand now that will help me be lighter (physically, mentally, energetically, spiritually)? Allow you inner guidance to respond & take the advice given to heart.
5 – Play. In these light filled days of Spring, can you play for the sake of Playing? Carve out time in your schedule for joy inducing activities, people & experiences. A little play goes a long way in the pursuit of lightness!

Ahhh. Thank you Wild Woman Project. How lovely to reconnect with myself thru moon cycle knowledge and experience. I have been on the planet over 50 years. But in moon cycle experiences, I am truly a new born. Looking inward and forward. Oh, wait. Can you do that? Yes! 💃
