As we walk together through these important & historic times, it is important to take time for deep contemplation. These are days for asking big questions of ourselves, our society & our world. Cries for change are echoing throughout the world.
I truly believe our survival as a species hinges upon our ability to love one another and to love the Earth.
This New Moon I offer up a longer form talk on the what is emerging now, from a spiritual perspective, and walk through a poem from the great activist & poet, June Jordan, for guidance at this time.

Another great discussion about love Chris, thank you. Something came up for me a few months ago, about us, the empaths, the compassionate humans, the one with big hearts and so much love to give and share, the leaders, why don’t we intentionally send the ones in the police forces, the ones in power a little tender loving care, maybe its because they have never experienced the deepest, true, pure meaning of whats its like to love and be loved. What if we are the answer, the solution? If we can still show them compassion and love, they might just awaken to love themselves, and things might start to change? I believe its worth us attempting this. So when we are meditation, or doing our reiki, think of them as a collective, those who wish to dominate and be in power, think of them and hold a place in our hearts for them, send them love and light, and lets see what changes we can make towards them? as the saying goes, the light enters the cracks of our wounds, so hopefully by us intentionally sending love and light towards them, we can enter their wounds and send healing in hope of awakening them to it. I would love to hear your thoughts on this. Love and light, stacey x
Dear Stacey,
I think that is a great idea.
One of my political mentors, Michael Brooks, said, “Be ruthless with systems, be kind to people.”
I think that idea makes an important distinction and supports your want to send love to the humans participating in oppressive/inequitable systems.
Much love to you!
