Up in Smoke: White Ceremonial Sage Smudge

The Offering:

Light the end of the sage bundle and fan the swirls of smoke around your body with your hand or a feather. Spend some extra time on areas where you feel blockages or stagnant energy. Envision the smoke lifting away all the negative thoughts, emotions and energies that have attached themselves to your field.

This practice will dust off the debris of the energy body, and calm the mind & spirit.

CIRCLE LEADER SPOTLIGHT

Danielle Gismondi

Danielle Gismondi, North Adams, MA

What has leading your circle taught you?
Leading my circle has taught me that my deep inner knowing has been right every single time.  Leading my circle has taught me that the depth of my connection with other women is an endless well from which I can give and receive wisdom and love freely. I have learned a new capacity as a leader, and a true sense of what community can be.
What is the main reason you lead your circle?
I wanted to lead circles for 2 reasons. The first was that I wanted to connect with a feminine community. Simple, easy, I was called and that was that!  The second was that once I started talking about this idea, it spread like wildfire.  Every single woman said “YES! We need this.”  I knew somewhere deep inside that it was my purpose to take on this role in my community.  I’ve never looked back and I can’t see the day when a WWP circle is not part of my life.Where do you hold it? What is the average size?
I hold my circles at the most beautiful yoga studio in the Berkshires, Frog Lotus Yoga.  It is inside an old cotton mill and its floor was hand laid by volunteers training to be yoga teachers. So many blessing have been shared in that space, so it’s potent and auspicious as well as a second home to me, as I’ve taught yoga there since 2009.  I’ve had anywhere from 6 to 12 women attend circle and I have a core tribe who come almost every month.  They are all amazing in every imaginable way.

Has being a Wild Woman Circle Leader influenced other areas of your life? Please explain.
Being a Wild Woman Project circle leader has not just changed my life but improved it. Every time I tap into the month’s content, I am refreshed, focused, and inspired.  I had no idea how profound setting these types of intentions would be and I am so grateful for the monthly opportunity to connect.  The circles have shown me great love, so it’s easy to put it back out there. If it makes sense, connecting with the WWP has allowed me to continually come home to myself.  That is no small gift. What are you reading and/or listening to right now?
I am currently listening to a sweet little duo called Barnaby Bright, my local indie music station 102.7 WEQX  and always listening to Fleetwood Mac and Peter Gabriel. I started Women Who Run with the Wolves recently and surprise! (Okay not really!) I love it.  I’m also reading 90 Minutes in Heaven and the second Outlander book.  Too many things!
Where & When can folks attend your circle?
This month you can attend my circle on Sunday, January 18th @ 6pm at Frog Lotus Yoga in North Adams, MA.  I usually keep them on Sunday evenings and you can check out the others at www.froglotusyoga.com.
